Ken Johnson to Return to WUHT-Birmingham

After a nine-month run at the helm of Cumulus Urban AC WNBM (Radio 103.9)/New York, Ken Johnson is returning to his former role with Cumulus Birmingham, AL to retake the PD reins of Urban AC WUHT (Hot 107.7). Johnson (left) had been OM of the Birmingham cluster until June of last year, when he transferred to New York to oversee the launch of Radio 103.9. A source familiar with the situation explained to us, “Ken is completing what was always planned to be a short-term project.” We understand that the Radio 103.9 PD role will be absorbed internally for now, under the watchful eyes of Corporate PD Maurice DeVoe and Radio 103.9 APD/MD Raphael George. The WUHT PD spot recently opened back up when Sam Nelson left to become Director of Urban Programming for iHeartMedia in Savannah, GA.
