South African comedian Trevor Noah has been chosen as Jon Stewart’s replacement on “The Daily Show”.  The 31-year-old made his debut as a contributor to the satirical program in December.  In January, Stewart announced he would be stepping down after leading the hosted the comedy show for 16 years. He has yet to announced the date of his departure.  Stewart added he “may rejoin [The Daily Show] as a correspondent just to be a part of it!”  Noah is a relative unknown in the States, but has hosted numerous television shows in his native country – including his own late night talk show.
