Since his early days in 2008, Wale has been one of my favorite emcees of all time. Although some of his projects vary in quality, the Seinfeld inspired “about nothing” series’ have always been among the strongest. This third installment, The Album About Nothing holds no substitution. This is hands down a well rounded album, and a much needed release from Wale after his rather disappointing last release The Gifted. The Album About Nothing has a host of good songs to choose from. The best tracks on here would have to be “The One Time in Houston” and “The Girls on Drugs.” Like a classic Wale project, the songs are packed with nice samples too. Bottom line is, the album about nothing cruises in at 4/5 flies!
