Nick Cannon, aka Mr. Get-Another-Check has announced he is resurrecting the longest running TV dance show in history, “Soul Train” for a new generation through his production company NCredible Entertainment. Cannon said “It means so much for our culture. It truly is something that to be able to bring through my deal at NBC Universal is that in itself is kind of taking it to the next level for where the brand began. I’m excited about that.” The project is reportedly a part of a first-look production deal he inked with the network and there is no word on when the “Soul Train”-the reboot will premiere. In the meantime, let’s settle for the classic reruns on Bounce TV, Centric and Aspire. And speaking of Aspire, didn’t Magic Johnson acquire all rights to the Soul Train brand?????  This could be an interesting shot in the arm for the industry in giving visibility to urban artists and it could be a train wreck (no pun intended!!)
