Get Ready For Barbershop 3

2001’s Barbershop is now classic and the 2004 sequel, Barbershop 2 was good, but not on the classic track classic. Get your snack list together and prepare for the film series becoming a trilogy with Barbershop 3. Barbershop 3’s director, Malcolm D. Lee, took to social media last weekend with a header photo of Nicki Minaj and Common at a recent table read. Rapper Minaj is set to star in the upcoming “threequel” of the Barbershop series along with Oscar winner ® Common and Regina Hall. Word from the curb has Queen Latifah in negotiations to return and possible reprise her role from Barbershop 2: Back In Business.  The film would’ve been incomplete (and a box office bomb) without the return of the franchise‘s original stars Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Anthony Anderson and Eve who have all signed on the dotted line. The cast would truly be complete with the addition of Michael Ealy and the ever down with the swirl Troy Garity, son of film legend Jane Fonda. The two “Barbershop” films grossed over $135 million worldwide.
