Radio Legend Donnie Simpson Returning to Radio admin August 3, 2015 Entertainment, Radio Buzz, Radio News According to a published report, Washington, DC radio legend, Donnie Simpson will return to radio later this month after more than five years in “retirement” under a new multi- year agreement with Radio One, Inc. Simpson is set to host afternoon drive program from 3 to 7 p.m. on WMMJ-FM (“Majic 102.3”) beginning Aug. 17 according to a source who wishes to remain anonymous. Although all details have not been signed, sealed and delivered, word from the curb hears Donnie Simpson is also negotiating a music focused program on TV One. There is speculation that the program will be a combination of “Video Soul” and an upscale urban talk show format. Simpson presently declined to comment. One can only wonder if the recent budget cuts in various Radio One, Inc. markets are connected to the arrival of Donnie Simpson and if his radio show will be syndicated. Related
