Flame or Lame: Dom Kennedy – Best After Bobby Two Dylan Fleming September 20, 2015 Indie Buzz, Music News Haven’t done one of these in a while! After spending a few days with the new Dom Kennedy and L.A. Leakers mixtape Best After Bobby 2, it’s time to give it some thought. This is a nice summer close out project and is a follow up to the original Best After Bobby mixtape from 2010. Dom came in strong rhyming over classic west coast beats. Additionally he spit over Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin” and Pharell’s “Frontin.” The biggest surprise was his rendition of The Internet’s single “Girl.” There were a couple original tracks on here too that weren’t bad. The features stayed consistent to the OPM clique. Even though some of the rhymes were a bit lackluster at times, this mixtape was still entertaining. Best After Bobby 2 is a flame.
