3rd Annual Writing Sessions America Retreat Returns to Atlanta admin September 22, 2015 Music News Kevin Shine CEO, WSAATL Writing Sessions America started 2015 with multiple monthly events that successfully and firmly established their brand in preparation for the 3rd annual “Unplugged Music Experience Singer/Songwriter Retreat,” on October 22-25, 2015 at Atlanta’s Ramada Plaza Hotel. This year’s conference theme is “Define Your Marque,” and much like the 2014 conference, it will provide the ultimate opportunity for participants to gain a wealth of industry knowledge crucial to their business success. Panelists and guest speakers will provide attendees with the necessary tools needed to maximize their resources, build a better business model and define their individual brand. Workshops, seminars and networking events throughout Atlanta geared towards expanding the knowledge of and appreciation for Pop, R&B and Gospel genres, will cover such topics as film and TV placement, social media, PR and monetizing your brand. Writing Sessions America (#WSAATL) is a collaborative effort of singers and songwriters of the R&B, Soul, Gospel, Rock and Pop genres working together to create and preserve good music. WSAATL’s initiative is to provide an environment of music business development and education that fosters professional growth. WSAATL also honors the best of the best in the industry. Past honorees include Sister2Sister’s Jamie Foster Brown, Grammy winning songwriter Gordon Chambers, and music executives David Linton, Shanti Das and Juanita Stephens. 2015 honorees include film and music executive Karen Mason, music historian Allen Johnston and PR and label executive Jackie Rhinehart.
