iHeartMedia Philadelphia Market President Richard Lewis today announced the promotion of Wes Franks to Senior Vice President of Sales for the company’s six-station Philadelphia cluster, effective October 1, 2015.

“In the years I’ve worked with Wes, he’s done a tremendous job leading his team in using ideas and customer growing concepts for our advertisers to tap into larger ad budgets.  His experience, strong leadership skills and ability to see our future in the sound and digital world make him the perfect candidate to lead our sales team for iHeartMedia in Philadelphia,” said Richard Lewis, Market President, iHeartMedia Philadelphia.

A 19-year radio veteran, Franks started his career at WJXB -FM in Knoxville, Tenn.  He later moved to the Baltimore, where he was promoted to local sales manager for WXYV-FM.  In 2003, Franks joined iHeartMedia in Philadelphia as GSM of WSNI-FM .  Franks was later promoted to GSM of WUSL.  In 2009 Franks returned to iHeartMedia as the Sales Manager of WUSL and was later being promoted to GSM of WUSL FM, WDAS FM, and WDAS AM.
