Flame or Lame: Neon Indian – Vega Intl. Night School Dylan Fleming October 19, 2015 Entertainment, Indie Buzz, Music News Without a doubt this had been an outstanding year for music! Tons of PALM’s favorite artists have released albums. We’ve covered all of them like Tyler, the Creator’s Cherry Bomb, The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness, Kindred from Passion Pit, What For from Toro Y Moi, and recently Robb Bank$’ debut Year of the Savage. Neon Indian’s album VEGA Intl. Night School is the Austin, TX and Brooklyn based chillwave band’s first release since their sophomore album Era Extraña in 2011. Neon Indian returned with a knock out punch on this record, with singles “Annie” and “Slumlord.” As a whole the record has a very 80s dance feel too it. I found my self searching for Patrick Nagel artwork on Tumblr while listening to it. The sudden riff changes and grooves make you want to dance while keeping you dancing. The hottest track on here by far is “The Glitzy Hive.” Others include “Dear Skorpio Magazine” and “News from the Sun.” You’ll want to cruise down the street on a hot day while tripping on shrooms when you hear “Stret Level.” This is one of PALM’s most anticipated release of the year and it is welcomed as another classic by Neon Indian! VEGA Intl. Night School is 100% flame!
