Ed Lover, the voice of Throwback Hip Hop, is making final preparations to make his triumphant return to morning radio in January, as he and co-host Monie Love will launch a new daily four-hour show syndicated by Reach Media Inc. in collaboration with Radio One. The Ed Lover Show will debut on Monday, January 11 and run 6-10am ET weekdays. Lover, of course, is a well-known rapper, actor, comedian, musician, radio and television personality who first gained a loyal following back in the day as a host of Yo! MTV Raps. He later went on to do mornings on iHeartMedia Urban WWPR (Power 105.1)/New York andmost recently hosted Backspin on SiriusXM. Ms. Monie Love is a Grammy-nominated MC and radio personality who is best known and loved for such iconic tracks as “Monie in the Middle” and “It’s a Shame (My Sister).”

Their personalities and styles make them the perfect voices as the demand for the growing format expands on radio.” The company already announced a major market affiliate for The Ed Lover Show — it will debut on Radio One Throwback Hip Hop outlet WPHI (Boom 107.9)/Philadelphia in a few weeks.
