Just in time for the holidays Mister Cap blesses us with yet another mixtape. For those of you who don’t know let me set the record straight: I have never listened to a Wiz Khalifa album in its entirety. However, I am a fan many of his mixtapes tracing back to 2010’s critically acclaimed Kush & Orange Juice. This week, Khalifa dropped the third installment in his Cabin Fever series, which had its last release in October of 2012. I have to say I didn’t really care for Cabin Fever 2, however his following project 28 Grams was exceptional.

Cabin Fever 3 really reminds us how although after the celebrity, fame, and stardom of Wiz, he continues to make the music we’ve grown to love. The mixtape as a whole isn’t overly pop and has plenty of bangers to go around. Highlights include “Gangster 101” featuring King Los, “Move On” featuring Kevin Gates and “Fucc Day” which is produced by Ricky P, who was involved heavily with the production on 28 Grams. The bulk of Cabin Fever 3’s production is handled by Sonny Digital who the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Future, and iLoveMakonnen have been known to collaborate with heavily. The project is rich in features from Taylor Gang associates like Juicy J and Chevy Woods among others.

For what it’s worth I enjoyed Cabin Fever 3 from start to finish. It’s been a year since 28 Grams so it’s only right that Wiz comes with a solid mixtape to close out 2015. This mixtape earns a 4/5 palms.
