Rita Ora is being sued by Roc Nation for breach of contract for owing the label four albums. According to the deal, signed in 2008, Ora was supposed to deliver five albums and has only completed one so far.

This lawsuit comes after Ora filed her own lawsuit against Roc Nation alleging that they began to lose interest in her after focusing attention on other ventures, such as their streaming service Tidal, and Roc Sports, their sports management company.

Roc NationAccording to The Wrap, the lawsuit says the label invested “millions of dollars in marketing, recording, and other costs, which were instrumental in guiding Ms. Ora to her current level of success and fame.”

Ora’s attorney, Howard King, says, “Jay Z has personally and graciously promised Rita complete freedom from Roc Nation, the details of which are now being finalized,” King said. “We believe that Roc Nation’s distributor, Sony Music, has required Roc Nation to file this action to preserve whatever rights Sony might have pending resolution.”
