Yolanda Adams Scores On Broadway

A team of artists are hard at work adapting the popular children’s cartoon, SpongeBob Squarepants for the Broadway stage.

Grammy® Award winning inspirational artist, actress and radio host Yolanda Adams has joined the creative team of the Broadway bound show “The SpongeBob Musical.” Adams is the latest addition to a team of artists signing on to contribute original songs to the musical’s score. Adams joins a strong and eclectic mix of artists who are contributing, including singer/songwriter John Legend, rapper T.I., pop icon Cyndi Lauper and an additional song by the late David Bowie.

The musical plans to open in New York on Broadway in the 2016-17 season after a run in Chicago from June 7-July 3 at Broadway’s Oriental Theatre.
