Star Studded Cast Announced For “Love Jones The Musical”

A musical stage adaptation of the classic 1997 romantic film, Love Jones, is coming to a theater near you reimagined as a stage play.

The original, which starred Nia Long and Larenz Tate, will be reimagined in a production that will feature a star-studded “ saaangin’ “cast, including Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michelle, mom- to -be Marsha Ambrosius, Dave Hollister, and the Love King, Raheem Devaughn.

If their vocal chops can equal their yet to be determined acting skills, this could be a beast of a play! Hip-hop icon MC Lyte, who can truly hold her own, is also set to join the cast.

The musical is written by the film’s original director and screenwriter, Theodore Witcher. There has been no formal announcement regarding Wyclef Jean reprising his role as music supervisor. A tour schedule will be released soon as “Love Jones The Musical” is set to hit the road this fall.
