yanni-rideRadio One has named “Yonni Rude” O’Donoghue as the new Operations Manager of the company’s four-cluster Richmond cluster — Urban WCDX (iPower 92.1), Urban AC WKJS (Kiss 105.7), Inspirational WPZZ (Praise 104.7) and News/Talk WTPS-AM. He starts next Monday, Oct. 24 and succeeds Jeff Anderson, who was recently named OM/PD of Beasley Urban WPEG (Power 98) and Urban AC WBAV (V101.9)/Charlotte.

O’Donoghue (left) spent the past 16 years in the Charleston, SC market, most recently as PD/afternoon drive talent on Cumulus Top 40 WSSX (95SX). From 2011-2013 he was APD/interim OM across the hall for Urban WWWZ (Z93 Jamz) and Urban AC WMGL (Magic 107.3), and from 2000-2011 he was MD/afternoon talent on WWWZ under previous owner Citadel. Earlier in his career O’Donoghue was MD/afternoon dude on Beasley Urban WZFX (Foxy 99)/Fayetteville, NC. He’s also the founder of Tropix International Sounds, which produces a number of large Caribbean-themed events in the region, including the Island Vibez Reggae Block Party and the Charleston Caribbean Jerk Festival.
