Jay Hicks Puts WGPR-Detroit in the Rear-view Mirror

Radio One/Detroit has parted ways with Urban WGPR (107.5) PD Jay Hicks. There is no word yet on the future plans for the position.
Hicks commented, “I want to personally thank Jay Stevens and Market Manager Kathy Stinehour for trusting me to launch and guide the most impactful station in Detroit. I’ve been able to experience and showcase history over the past 5-years. I’ve been able work directly with some of the brightest and talented Programmers, On-air talent, and sales executives. I have highlighted and broke some of the very best music talent from Detroit; Def Loaf, Zay Hilfigerrr aka #JUJUONTHATBEAt, and Tee Grizzley.”
