Joe Jackson was involved in a minor car accident in Las Vegas but did not suffer any serious injuries.

Jackson, the 88-year-old father of late pop icon Michael Jackson, was hospitalized following the accident on Friday, TMZ reported, but he later said in a post to his website that he is OK.”Earlier today while in the Car with my assistant we got involved in an accident as they drove in front of us,” he wrote. “I got out of it without a scratch.”

He added that his assistant needed to go to the emergency room after suffering a broken thumb.

Jackson was a passenger in a black Jaguar that T-boned an SUV, according to TMZ.

He reportedly experienced chest pains after the auto accident and was seen wincing in pain after making his way to a nearby Panda Express.
