The Oscar nominations are out and ‘Get Out,’ Daniel Kaluuya, Jordon Peele, Denzel Washington, Mary J. Blige, Octavia Spencer, Virgil Williams and Dee Rees, Rachel Morrison, Common, and even Kobe Bryant got nods. Mary J. Blige was nominated for Supporting Actress and Original Song for ‘Mudbound.’ Rachel Morrison is the first African American woman to be nominated for ‘Cinematography’ for ‘Mudbound.’ Kobe Bryant was nominated for Animated Short in his new career after retiring from the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers.

American Urban Radio Network’s Tanya Hart and her crew will be at the 90th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 4 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood as she has been over the past two decades. Tanya Hart appeared in the 2003 Oscar nominated ‘Tupac: Resurrection’ and is an Emmy Award and Peabody Award winning producer and host. Tanya Hart is co-chair of The Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors, the first woman and first African American to lead this cross guild trade organization.
