Jennifer Hudson to play Aretha Franklin in Biopic

Jennifer Hudson is returning to the big screen. The singer and Oscar Award winning actress will reportedly play Aretha Franklin in the Queen of Soul’s biopic. MGM has acquired the project and will finance it. Scott Bernstein (Straight Outta Compton) will produce.
