Is Michigan Based Artist Choker the Next Frank Ocean? Dylan Fleming March 15, 2018 Indie Buzz The beautiful ‘start radio’ button on Spotify randomly put me onto Choker. The 21-year old not only writes all his old lyrics but also produces and engineers 100% of his work. His debut project Peak is comparable to Frank Ocean’s Blonde lyrically and sonically. With lyrics about love lost and confusion within a relationship the music is very easy to fall into. So many songs have similar tempo switches similar to that heard in “Pyramids” and “Nights” by Frank Ocean. My favorite song “Moksha” by Choker is the perfect example of this.
