Emmis NY Ups Bethany Kent, Seeks Promotions Director for WBLS

Bethany Kent, Marketing Director of Emmis Hip Hop WQHT (Hot 97)/New York, has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Events for Emmis New York — Hot 97, Urban AC WBLS and Gospel WLIB-AM. She will also serve as the lead producer for the cluster’s marquee events, which include Summer Jam and the Circle Of Sisters Expo.

Ms. Kent is a five-year Emmis NY veteran who has served as Marketing Director of Hot 97 since November 2016. She joined the company in November of 2013 as Promotions Director of Hot 97, hired away from the Promotions Director post at Beasley’s former WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia. Earlier in her career Kent was the resident promotions pro at Cumulus Rhythmic WWKX (Hot 106)/Providence.
