The Urban Buzz sends heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of long-time Hollywood television and entertainment executive Reggie Rutherford. Reggie was best known as Soul Train stage manager and executive assistant to Don Cornelius. Rutherford later went on to a floor director’s position for the nightly entertainment syndicated show Extra. Reggie worked on a number of TV shows over the past 40 years and was well known in the music and TV community. Reggie was suffering from an assortment of health challenges including sleep apnea and passed in his sleep at age 66. Reggie was a gentle giant and friend to many in the business. He will be missed. May he Rest in Paradise.

      I keep saying to myself lord please wake me up from this nightmare.I spoke with Reggie 2 weeks ago and he told me we should catch up soon… Reggie was a amazing man with a good Heart.
