DeDe McGuire has a race team to support the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

October is Breast Cancer month and with the shocking news of KMJQ air personality Kandi Eastman’s diagnosis, radio is stepping up their cause to fight this dreadful disease. K104’s DeDe McGuire has formed a race team for the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure to end breast cancer forever. #Team DeDe is currently taking donation for the race which will be held October 19.

WJMI’s (Jackson) DJ Finesse has taken in number one rated Arbitron rated Night Show to the Mississippi State Fair. Finesse is known for his Hip-Hop Chop Shop program. With more than 21 years at the station, he has received numerous awards including the Mix-Show Power Summit DJ of the Year Award and several Justo Mix Tape and Southern Entertainment Awards. He is heavily involved in the Core DJ association and formed Finesse Entertainment, a multi-media company.

WJZD (Gulfport) Radio’s Sales Executive Donna Rogers says the station is gearing up for their Family Day on the River Event Oct. 19, which will feature artist, food, talent showcases, exhibits and activities for the entire family. Mr. Wobble, V.I.C. will also perform. “We are planning on the Family Day to be an annual event,” says Rogers.
