Real 92.3 LA names DJ Amen Music Director

iHeartMedia announced that DJ Amen has been named Music Director of Urban KRRL (REAL 92.3)/Los Angeles. In his new position, DJ Amen will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the station’s music programming and musical decisions.

DJ Amen has become one of the most respected and influential West Coast DJs over the last decade. He began working for iHeartMedia in 2006 as a mixer at the legendary KMEL/San Francisco. He joined REAL 92.3 in 2015 when the station launched, and in 2016, he contributed to the launch of REAL 92.3’s top-rated show, Young California Radio.

Amen reports to Doc Wynter, EVP of Hip Hop Programming Strategy for iHeartMedia and PD of REAL 92.3, who said, “His knowledge and passion for music made Amen the perfect choice for music director at REAL 92.3. He has a special ear and talent for discovering the latest musical hits and trends. We’ve seen him work his magic on the airwaves and know that with his expanded role he’ll help take the station to even higher levels.”
