Jay Hicks to PD WPGC-DC

Entercom has officially appointed Jay Hicks as the new Program Director of Rhythmic WPGC/Washington, effective September 16.

Hicks joins Entercom from Townsquare Media Buffalo, NY where for the past two years he has served as Brand Manager for Urban WBLK (Power 93.7) and Adult Hits WBUF (92.9 Jack FM). Hicks is a Detroit native who previously spent 5 1/2 years as PD of Radio One Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5)/Detroit. Earlier in his career, while attending Michigan State University, Hicks went to work for MacDonald Broadcasting Urban WQHH (Power 96.5)/Lansing, MI, rising through the ranks from part-time to APD/MD and night jock to the PD chair.
