SummitMedia Greenville, SC has named Maurice DeVoe as the new Operations Manager of Urban WJMZ (107.3 Jamz), Rhythmic WHZT (Hot 98.1), Alternative X98.5 (WJMZ-HD2) and Adult Hits 99.5 Jack FM (WJMZ-HD3). He succeeds Mike Klein, who exits after four years.
DeVoe was most recently with iHeartMedia St. Louis, where he programmed Urban KATZ-FM (100.3 The Beat), Urban AC Majic 103.7 (KATZ-HD2) and Urban Gospel KATZ-AM (Hallelujah 1600) until January, when he was one of hundreds downsized during the wide-ranging iHeartMedia layoffs. DeVoe joined iHeartMedia in May 2017 after a 16-year run with Cumulus Media, where he rose to Corporate PD for the company’s Urban and Rhythmic formats and PD of Urban AC KMJK (Magic 107.3)/Kansas City. DeVoe’s career also includes a run as APD/MD at WPGC/Washington, and PD stints at WPHI/Philadelphia, KCHZ (95.7 The Vibe)/Kansas City and KLIF (i93)/Dallas.
