Philly Speaks

Radio One is proud to announce Senator Vincent Hughes as the permanent new host of Philly Speaks, which airs every Sunday from 8-9am on Urban Oldies WRNB (Old School 100.3)/Philadelphia. Hughes (pictured) succeeds the late E. Steven Collins, who passed away in September. Senator Hughes is well acquainted with Philly Speaks, having appeared as a frequent guest with E. Steven, and more recently as a fill-in host. “I am thrilled to announce this appointment,” said Old School 100.3 PD Elroy Smith. “Senator Hughes is the epitome of a professional. Every time he appeared on our airwaves, he was thoroughly versed on the subject at hand. When you think of someone that loves the community of Philadelphia, Senator Vincent Hughes will be at the very top of the list.” Donations are still being accepted to the E. Steven Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund.
