Skip Dillard no longer PD at WBLS/WLIB-NY Kevin Fleming December 19, 2020 Entertainment, Radio Buzz, Radio News In a shakeup at Emmis/Mediaco’s New York cluster, Skip Dillard’s position as VP of Programming of R&B WBLS (107.5) has been eliminated. Dillard, who has programmed the New York powerhouse for the past 13 years, has been appointed VP of National Community Partnerships. In the newly created position, Dillard reports to Market Manager Ron deCastro and is tasked with helping connect national brands with the African American and Urban communities. “Skip has amazing relationships to elevate both the WBLS and Hot 97 [hip-hop/R&B WQHT] brands and create a pathway for national advertisers to grow their relationship with the African American and urban communities,” deCastro said in a press release. In turn, WBLS/WLIB Assistant PD Cynthia Smith has been promoted to PD of WBLS. Read more in InsideRadio.
