Power 106 logoAfter nearly seven months off the air at Meruelo Media’s KPWR (Power 106)/Los AngelesNick Cannon is returning with a new, locally focused morning show, after inking a new, multi-year renewal deal with Meruelo Media and with Skyview Networks to continue his separate, syndicated show, Nick Cannon Radio. “Los Angeles, I am back and ready to lift you up in the mornings and bring joy at the crack of dawn with original comedy and candid conversation!” said Cannon, who was put on hiatus last summer after he made controversial comments about the Jewish faith. Cannon had remained benched from his flagship Power 106 until now, but Skyview had reinstated his show last September.
“Tough times don’t last, but tough people do — and I’m grateful for my supporters, friends and loved ones who have guided me through this journey these past few months. We grow through challenges and lessons together, but emerge better on the other side. Otto Padron, President & CEO of Meruelo Media, commented, “Nick Cannon is the consummate entertainer and more demanding on himself than on anyone else! His newly revamped and creatively turbo-charged local morning show will bring much needed comedic entertainment to L.A. mornings like only Nick can.” Reunited with TeddyMelissa and DJ Carisma, Nick will deliver a uniquely Los Angeles centric morning show fitting of our iconic Power 106 flagship!”
