Don Cheadle Plays Miles Davis

Don Cheadle stars as Jazz icon Miles Davis in a new film called ‘Kill the Trumpet Player‘.  The project is being describes as ‘not a biopic’ but a jazz gangster movie focusing on Miles Davis’ life during his hiatus from music and return in 1979.  Zoe Saldana has been cast as Miles’ former wife Francis Davis. “Kill the Trumpet Player” marks Don Cheadle’s directorial debut.
