Nicole+Ari+ParkerActress, Entrepreneur and Mom, Nicole Ari Parker is joining the nationally syndicated radio show Café Mocha as a Special Celebrity Correspondent.

The film and television actress brings a unique perspective to Café Mocha, offering insights and opinions with hosts, comedienne/TV host Loni Love, rap legend MC Lyte and radio veteran Angelique Perrin.

Parker, who is currently featured on NBC’s hit series “Revolution,” is best known for starring roles on TV shows like “Soul Food” and “Second Time Around” and in films like “Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins,” “Black Dynamite” and “King’s Ransom.” As the wife of actor Boris Kodjoe, Parker has been featured in a recurring role on BET’s hit reality TV spoof, “Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

“Nicole has been guest-hosting the show since November 2013 and the response from the listening audience was overwhelming.  As the only mother on the show, she offered insight into parenting and other challenges the working mom faces.  Her perspective and insight on issues and topics was a welcomed addition to the show and we knew we had to keep her in the mix,” said Sheila Eldridge, creator and executive producer of Café Mocha Radio.

While balancing her work as an actress, the Baltimore, Maryland-bred talent is also a mother of two.  As an entrepreneur, Parker has her own health and beauty business, Save Your Do.

She and her husband are also the founder of Sophie’s Voice Foundation, a non-profit foundation that promotes health and wellness issues.  Parker’s daughter Sophie was born with Spina Bifida, and battling that disease has become a cause near and dear to the actress.

As the fastest growing female syndicated radio show in broadcasting, the Café Mocha Show is built upon the concept of women helping other women to grow through shared experiences and information.   It strives to uplift and highlight women making a difference in their communities and their families, in an entertaining and positive manner.

Best known as ‘radio from a women’s perspective’  the Café Mocha Show  is to be a multi-media platform  designed to empower women  with a fresh blend of ideas, content and the best in urban music.  Twitter @cafemocharadio; YouTube: Cafemocharadio; and on Facebook www.facebook.com/cafemocharadio.
