Music Girl

Tamika Wagner, pka Muzikgirl is a music producer from Long Beach California. She began her career as a Staff Engineer and Mixer for legendary Studio 56 recording studios in Hollywood, shortly after graduating from the Musician’s Institute with a B.A. in Music Performance (Percussion/Drums) and minor in Recording Engineering. For Tamika music has always been a large part of her life. Early childhood musical influences led her to learn to play the keyboards by ear taking on popular melodies from her favorite artists; however from recollection she always has a desire to learn to play drums and percussion instruments. Most of the music which she produces is heavily influenced by her extensive experience in live music performance.

Upon graduating Musician’s Institute, It didn’t take long for her to get noticed by the staff at Studio 56, soon after beginning her internship and within a short few months Muzikgirl was assisting sessions for big names in hip-hop such as Talib Kweli, DJ Quick, AZ, Cee-Bo, Pharaohe Monch and others. In addition, early engineering and mixing projects also included Bad Boys II and Training Day soundtracks. She would later transition to working as a freelance engineer for other producers and producing music for various Hip-Hop, RnB, Pop, Movie and Television projects including Brandy, B2K, Mya, Lina, Outsiderz 4 Life, Bobb’e J, Jamie Foxx Show, Mission Impossible III, Sisters In Christ, Tory Lanez and many more!

Muzikgirl’s signature sound transcends multiple genres and is only getting better! With upcoming Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop and Movie Score placements; Muzikgirl is about to make her move on the music industry. Don’t take my word for it. Listen to some of her beats and grooves.
