KJ Holiday Died from Massive Heart Attack

The Urban Buzz sends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of WJLB-Detroit PD KJ Holiday. Holiday died of a massive heart attack while participating in a kick boxing class.

Funeral services for KJ Holiday will be held next week in Norfolk, VA. Holiday, the longtime Director of Urban Programming for Clear Channel Urban WJLB and Urban ACWMXD (Mix 92.3)/Detroit, died suddenly on Sunday, May 25. A wake service is scheduled for Monday, June 2 from 6-8pm at Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 West Berkley Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23523. On Tuesday, a viewing will be held from 11am-noon, followed by the funeral service at Calvary Revival Church, 5833 Poplar Hall Drive, Norfolk, VA 23502. Holiday is survived by his 13-year-old son, Jordan.

We are told that Holiday’s family is also working on a memorial service for his many friends in the Detroit area — that event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 7.
