TJ Jams Mill-town

Saga Urban AC WJMR (Jammin’ 98.3)/Milwaukee welcoms new Brand Manager Tyrene “TJ” Jackson, effective Monday, July 7. She replaces Lauri Jones, who recently left the radio industry. Annmarie Topel, GM of Saga’s Milwaukee Radio Group stated, “We had a lot of interest in this position, including some big names in Urban radio. Tyrene stood out for many reasons. With roots in Milwaukee, a clear respect from the community, and the kind of work ethic and values that we look for, she was the obvious and best choice.” Saga EVP and Group PD Steve Goldstein commented, “TJ brings local experience and format knowledge — a great combination.” Jackson is a Milwaukee market mainstay who formerly programmed crosstown WMCS-AM from 1996 until it flipped to Adult Standards in March of 2013. “I’m excited to be a part of the Jammin’ 98.3 family and dedicated to enhancing an already great radio station,” Jackson remarked, adding, “I look forward to bringing my community experience and knowledge of the format to Jammin’ to produce the best product on air, online and in the community.”
