Core studio logoA quartet of entrepreneurs and entertainment execs, are raising a fund to invest in Atlanta tech, media and entertainment startups. Atlanta-based The Core Venture Studio will take a three-pronged approach to investing an up to $15 million fund. The group will invest in existing startups while teaming up with promising entrepreneurs to launch new companies along with the rescue and modification of under-performing businesses.

Core Venture Studios Co-founder, Chidi Afulezi, a self described hardcore EMT(entertainment, media and technology) product guy says, “The founders bring a combination of backgrounds and chops to work with talented entrepreneurs and startups to build kickass mobile and media/entertainment technology businesses in Atlanta.

The “Core 4” share a wide range of combined experience including stints at Bad Boy Entertainment, Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, Sony Music and Smith Barney.
