Writing Sessions America Returns To Atlanta

Writing Sessions America’s 2^nd annual retreat, the #WSAATL “Music Experience” Singer/Songwriter Retreat kicks off in Atlanta October 16^th -October 19^th at the A-Loft hotel. The event is designed to educate and highlight the best singers/songwriters in Pop, R&B and Gospel music (no hip hop) via workshops, seminars and networking events. This year’s theme of “Old School Rules with New School Tools” will focus on expanding the appreciation for various genres of music and connect emerging singers, songwriter, producers and engineers with the movers and shakers of the entertainment business.

The retreat will begin with a Status Vodka VIP Kick-Off reception on October 16^th. The 2014 Raise Your Status Music Icon Award recipients include Grammy® award winning songwriter Gordon Chambers, Sister2Sister magazine’s owner/publisher, Jamie Foster Brown and music executive Kawan “KP” Prather.

The workshop and seminar topics are somewhat of a variation from the “usual” most radio and record label folks had become accustomed to over the years. Participants will gain knowledge on topics ranging from songwriting, vocal training and production to A&R, celebrity health & wellness, social media and public relations.
