KJ Bland Re-Ups at KRNB-Dallas

KRNB (Smooth R&B 105.7) Brand Manager and Program Director Kevin Gardner announced
today that Midday Jock, KJ, has signed on the dotted line for 2 more fun-filled years.
Gardner commented, “KJ is a passionate multi-platform personality and a social media savvy
entertainer who easily turns listeners and clients into friends and fans. We are happy to have
her continue her winning contributions to the Smooth R&B 105.7 team and the Service
Broadcasting family.”

KJ stated, “I am extremely excited for the opportunity to continue doing what I love!That’s

KJ started out as a receptionist at WGZB (B96.5) in her native city of Louisville, Kentucky. After an impressive on air debut, she was quickly promoted to Middays on the #1 urban station in the market. KJ’s career took off from there as she rapidly advanced to Music Director, then Assistant Program Director, and eventually earning the honor of becoming the first African American Female to program three urban radio properties simultaneously. KJ also made career stops at WJMZ (107.3 Jamz) in Greenville, South Carolina, and WMKS (105.7 KISS) in Greensboro, North Carolina before landing the midday shift at Smooth R&B 105.7 in Dallas.
