DJ NailzCox Media Group has named DJ Nailz as the new night jock at WEDR-Miami’s 99 Jamz. DJ Nailz, a.k.a. Marc Dixon joins 99 Jamz from sister station WPYO-Orlando’s Power 95.3 where he has worked for the past five years. CMG Miami VP/GM Rob Babin said, “He has been such a key player for Power 95.3/Cox Media Group Orlando, and we look forward to his continued success here at Cox Media Group Miami!” WEDR Director of Branding and Programming Derrick Baker commented, “DJ Nailz brings an energy and true passion for the Hip-Hop Culture that made him No. 1 in Orlando and the perfect fit for South Florida. Whether it’s the BET Awards in Los Angeles or interviewing Queen Latifah or DJ Khaled, Nailz is a true talent, and we are glad he decided to move his talents back to South Beach.” No stranger to South Florida, Dixon grew up as a huge fan of 99 Jamz and has family in the city. “I’m excited for this opportunity,” he said. “Every personality has that station they listened to as a kid that made them want to do this, and 99 Jamz is mine! It’s a dream come true.” Dixon/Nailz replaces Felisha Monet, who was upped to afternoon drive on WEDR in early December.
