If you get the chance, Miami based up-and-comer Pouya’s mixtape South Side Slugs is a solid project to listen to. Pouya first birsted onto the scene with his viral video for “Get Buck.” From there, it went from touring and collaborating with Sir Michael Rocks and Robb Bank$, giving tkhe rapper the steady online fan base he needed. Pouya has a flow similar to the legendary Krazie Bone, who he lists as a major influence. South Side Slugs carries a handful of noteworthy features from fellow Miami rapper Denzel Curry, Alex Wiley, and Sir Michael Rocks just to name a few. The dopest tracks would have to be “Never Fold” featuring Shorty K and produced by Blended Babies (who’ve worked with Asher Roth, Blu, and Pac Div). Additionally “Dandy in Love” is one of the hardest tracks on the project. Although South Side Slugs may get a little repetative at times, I’m still calling it a 4/5 flies.
