Brandy’s B2B… BET To Broadway

BET believes in staying in “the game” and bringing back another familiar face to BET’s prime-time schedule. Grammy® winning singer/actress Brandy is set to star in “Zoe Moon” a romantic comedy that focuses on the life of a cosmetics mogul who is dealing with big business, a recent divorce from a husband who doesn’t want to let go and a precocious 10 year old son. Sources say the show parallels several of Brandy’s personal and professional experiences, many of which where played out in the public eye, before, during and after she appeared on reality TV. BET has not yet released premiere dates for the show.

Brandy fine-tuned her acting chops on the big and small screen since the early 90’s on the sitcoms “Thea” and “Moesha,” and more recently as Chardonnay Pitts on BET’s “The Game.” Her TV films, “Cinderella” with Whitney Houston, “Double Platinum” with Diana Ross and big screen horror film” I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” proved she’s no light weight. Brandy displayed her elegance and dance skills during a run on  “Dancing With The Stars” where she scored perfect “10’s” in the final rounds. Brandy is currently the toast of Broadway (and slaying it) in her role as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” through June 21.

Never one to abandon her love of performing or music, Brandy is reportedly working on new music and considering a mini-tour before the end of 2015.
