Puff Johnson1Detroit native Puff Johnson has lost her battle with cancer. She’s best known for her singles “Forever More” and “Over & Over” and has appeared on film soundtracks such as The First Wives Club and Bad Boys. She received critical acclaim in Europe for the bulk of her career.  She also worked with the late Tupac Shakur on his hit single, Me Against the World, which was featured on his album of the same name.

Prior to moving to South Africa in 2008, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and was responding well to treatment. Unfortunately, the cancer returned with vengeance two short years later. When she was no longer responding to treatment she returned home to Detroit and transitioned peacefully. She’s a sweet spirit with a sweet voice that will be missed. RIP Puff.
