Flame or Lame: Action Bronson – Mr. Wonderful

Action Bronson’s third album Mr. wonderful is one hell of a smash. At times it plays to the hardcore New York rap feel while the beats stay tasteful and melodic. This is especially prevalent on the third track “Terry.” This is absolutely the song which makes Mr. Wonderful the album it is. The single “Baby Blue” with Chance The Rapper was an acquired taste, but fit nicely on the project. There is some fine experimentation on “City Boy Blues” as well. Even though Bronson is not much of a singer, the songs which he sings still go. There’s no doubt about it, Mr. Wonderful is a flame!
