McEwen Returns To Rock Baltimore

After a nine-year hiatus, Baltimore rock radio veteran, Kirk McEwen returns to the mic at Hearst’s WIYY (98 Rock), for afternoon drive. The return is reunion of sorts for McEwen best known as the longtime co-host of 98 Rock’s former Kirk, Mark & Lopez morning show. McEwen had spent the past few years co-hosting mornings on CBS Radio Sports Talk WHFS (98.7 The Fan)/Tampa Bay until this past December, when the station was swapped to Beasley and changed format. Commenting on his triumphant return to 98 Rock, an elated McEwen says, “It feels like my last name was ‘From 98 Rock. I couldn’t be more excited to come back to the station where I got my start! I’ve got a lot of pent-up energy and I’m ready to unleash it on Baltimore.” McEwen will also take the lead in hosting 98 Rock’s Ravens-related programming.

Kirk’s career path is proof that your “pigmentation situation” does not restrict you to one particular format! This man is where he is because he’s outstanding at what he does……great radio!! And for that, this Black man rocks!

Kirk is the brother of veteran radio and national TV anchor Mark McEwen.
