J. Anthony Brown Launches Syndicated Weekend Show

If you hear the words, “Watch Out Deh Now,” then you know that it’s more than a heed to action, but rather the trademark catcall for funnyman and radio personality J. Anthony Brown. Well, if you want to hear more witty banter from Brown, then you’re in luck. The comedian just launched the J. Anthony Brown Radio Show on the weekends: two hours of comedy, counting down Billboard’s weekly top Urban AC hits with lots of comedy, pop culture, sketches and interviews, plus his famous “murdered hits” song parodies.

J Anthony Brown has tapped Niele Anderson as co-executive producer; plus, his co-host of the radio show. Formerly, Anderson served as a Radio One on-air personality and producer as well as KDAY-FM in Los Angeles. She’s also the former religion editor of the Los Angeles Sentinel, the largest African American newspaper West of the Mississippi. When she’s not on the air with Brown, Anderson is managing Brown’s comedy club, the J Spot Comedy Club, and keeping her finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the world of comedy. The syndicated radio show debuted the weekend of June 6, 2015, and can be heard in more than 10 markets including Houston, Texas (KOCH/ 1230 AM); Tampa, Fla. (WTMP/1150 AM); Grand Rapids, Mich. (WYGR-FM and WYGR 1530 AM); Toledo, Ohio (WIMX/95.7 FM); Youngstown, Ohio (WHTX/1570 AM); Lake Charles, La., (KZWA/104.9 FM); Monroe, La. (KJMG/97.3 FM); Valdosta, Ga. (WHLJ/97.5 FM and WHLJ/1400 AM); Muscle Shoals, Ala. (WMXV/101.5 FM) and the U.S. Virgin Islands, (WUVI /1090 AM).
