Eutopia Takes On New York Again

Just about two years to the day, New York native Eutopia was featured in The Urban Buzz as she commandeered the reins as night personality at New York’s WNOW (Now 92.3). Today, she continues to think outside the box of Urban radio and break ground as the newest (and sole African American) member of the on-air team at Cumulus Media’s Hot AC, WPLJ/NY. As the radio landscape continues to shrink, Eutopia is clearly in line to be among the fortunate ones that won’t stare into the abyss of unemployment.

In between a tight rotation from the likes of Hozier and Arianna Grande Eutopia stated “I’m truly excited to be a part of the stellar on air staff at 95 5 PLJ. WPLJ has been a staple station in NYC and the broadcasting industry for decades. To be a part of this station’s legacy is all a girl from Brooklyn can ask for and so much more! Plus I get to work with my former (WNOW) PD, the always fearless Gillette once again. That’s fantabulous!! Thanks to Gillette, John Foxx, Mike Allen, the entire PLJ staff and Cumulus for the warm welcome and mostly the opportunity to be back on air in NYC!”
