Pope Francis Gets Soul In The Big Apple admin September 25, 2015 Entertainment, Music News James “D-Train” Williams, Music Director for United Stations Radio Networks’ custom production service Comedy on Demand, has the distinct honor of performing as part of a star-studded concert for Pope Francis’ Mass at Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 25th. Williams, best known for R&B classics such as “Keep On” and “You’re The One For Me,” will perform during “A Journey in Faith,” a two-hour show featuring prayer and devotional music. Harry Connick Jr., Gloria Estefan and Jennifer Hudson will also perform. “A Journey In Faith” begins at 3pm (est.), with the Papal Mass scheduled to follow at 6:30pm. Williams has been with United Stations Radio Networks for the past 20 years and has served as Music Director since 2013. He has had a successful radio career with a national show on SiriusMX’s “Heart & Soul” channel as well as a long and illustrious music career, having previously worked with Michael Jackson, Elton John, Luther Vandross, Bruno Mars and most recently, Lenny Kravitz. He is the 2015 recipient of the National R&B Society’s Unsung Hero Award and will release his seventh album, “The Other Side of The Tracks” in the summer of 2016. Related
