Kenard Karter has been named as the new Operations Manager of Radio One Cincinnati, effective January 11. Karter’s most recent programming position was with IHeartMedia Urban WGCI/Chicago until about a year ago. Before that he spent four years with KMEL/San Francisco as APD/midday personality. Prior to his Bay Area run, Karter was MD of WGCI and Top 40 sister WKSC (103.5 Kiss FM)/Chicago. Radio One VP of Programming Colby “Colb” Tyner stated, “We are excited to be working with Kenard; he is a very smart programmer with a lot of creative energy. Our team in Cincy can’t wait to get started.” Station Manager Mitch Galvin added, “Kenard will be bringing strong leadership to our station cluster and a drive to win!” Karter remarked, “I am truly humbled and excited about the opportunity to lead the Cincinnati radio brands that Colby Colb, Jay Stevens and the Radio One family have afforded me.
