New Artist: Alexandria – THE URBAN BUZZ

Back in 2012 when this page started as the Indie Buzz, one of my main objectives was to bring you Neo-Soul and New Wave R&B acts by the bundle. Almost four years later, the focus has broadened but unintentionally hyper focused on new underground rap. It was somewhat of a New Year’s resolution for me to get back to PALM’s original mission, which was to remain eclectic at all times.

I am pleased to announce that Atlanta based vocalist and member of Awful Records Alexandria is a fine addition to the family. Sound wise, Alexandria shares a similar vibe to that of Jhene Aiko or SZA. She has three free EPs available to stream on soundcloud, but her latest effort Promise is 100% something you should check out. All six tracks on Promise are produced by Ethereal, who is another member of Awful Records. Awful’s front-man Father makes a guest appearance on the song “Pour.” The other feature slot on the EP is taken by Lord Narf of Awful Records on the song “Problem.” Overall this is a dope project and I want to hear more for Alexandria.
