KAJM-Phoenix’s Mega 104.3 celebrated 15 years of playing Old School hits by throwing a huge listener appreciation concert last Friday night — the Mega 104.3 Birthday Bash served up timeless jams performed live by some of the most electrifying funk bands of their era — ConFunkShun, Zapp, Lakeside and Midnight Star, plus headliner Morris Day and the Time and a special video tribute to Prince.

KAJM PD/afternoon personality Super Snake commented, “All things purple, fishnets and black pantyhose were out in full force last Friday night. The sexy and grown were ready to show everyone how they get down. A special shout to Morris Day (pictured here with Super Snake) for the video tribute to Prince — very classy and from the heart. Of course, we couldn’t have done this without our loyal listeners. Just ask around, there’s a real hunger in the Valley for great funky music. We at Mega 104.3 aim to feed that need, ya dig!”
